Risk limits and the kill switch
Every order passes a gate. Limits live in Settings → Automation; the kill switch stops everything.
Settings → Automation edits the limits, separately for script orders and manual orders. The order counters are shared across both.
| Limit | Script default | Manual default | Checks |
|---|---|---|---|
| Max lots per order | 1 | 10 | Order size |
| Max position | 2 lots | 20 lots | Position after the fill, resting entries included; reducing orders pass |
| Max notional per order | Off | Off | Quantity × price |
| Orders per minute / day | 6 / 60 | 30 / 500 | Sliding minute, calendar day; cancels don't count |
| Daily loss limit | Off | Off | No new risk once the day's P&L falls this far; optionally square off |
| Trading hours | 09:15–15:30, entries until 15:20 IST | Off | Outside the window nothing passes; after the cutoff only reducing orders |
| Price band | ±5% | Off | Limit and stop prices against the last price |
| Pause after rejects | 3 | 3 | Consecutive broker rejects pause the strategy |
| Cool-down | 5 min | 5 min | Wait before re-arming after a kill or a pause |
| Tick execution | Off | On | Orders from a forming bar |
The kill switch
Kill in the trading panel strip or the Automation tab cancels every script order, pauses every strategy, denies new manual risk and starts the cool-down. It stays on until you press Release.
Your platform can set tighter or looser defaults; the numbers above are the library's. See Automation config and limits.
