Why is my strategy showing as Inactive even though I placed orders?

Accepted Answer

A strategy is Active only when at least one leg has a non-zero quantity in the live positions feed — meaning orders must be filled, not just pending. If all orders are still open (not yet executed), the strategy shows as Inactive. Once any leg fills, the strategy moves to Active automatically.

What does Greeks ₹ Mode show that standard mode does not?

Accepted Answer

Standard mode shows the mathematical Greek values (e.g., delta 0.45 per lot). ₹ Mode multiplies each Greek by lot size to show monetary impact: delta becomes ₹ P&L per 1-point move, theta becomes daily rupee decay, vega becomes ₹ per 1% IV change. ₹ Mode makes risk directly comparable to position size — the number traders actually need to make adjustment decisions.

How are Greeks scaled to my actual position — not just per lot?

Accepted Answer

Greeks are calculated using your actual signed lot ratio: (quantity × multiplier) / lot size. If you hold 4 lots of a leg, the displayed delta is 4× the per-lot delta. The Totals row sums these scaled values across all active legs — giving you the true aggregate Greek exposure of the full multi-leg position.

Why does my Auto Spreader strategy not show Max Profit / Max Loss?

Accepted Answer

The standard payoff model requires a single underlying and expiry to calculate theoretical max profit, max loss, and breakevens. Auto Spreader strategies can span multiple underlyings and asset classes — a cross-product or calendar spread doesn't fit the single-underlying payoff model. Greeks and ₹ Mode still work fully for these strategies.

What happens when I click 'Exit All'?

Exit All places simultaneous market sell (or buy, for short legs) orders for every open leg of the strategy at the same moment. All legs receive their market exit orders together — not sequentially — minimising the exposure gap that occurs when legs are closed one by one. Only legs with non-zero open positions are targeted.

Can I re-add a leg after removing it from a strategy?

Accepted Answer

Not from the Positions tab. Open the Strategy Builder for that strategy and add the leg there. The updated strategy definition will reflect in the Strategies tab once saved.

Question 7

Why does the Spread Ladder button say 'Builder' for some expired strategies?

Accepted Answer

Expired instruments cannot be executed on a ladder (they no longer trade). For expired non-auto-spreader strategies, the button opens the Strategy Builder so you can roll the legs to a new expiry. For expired Auto Spreader strategies, the button opens the Auto Spreader widget so you can rebuild the spread with current-expiry instruments.
