The order ticket
Side, type, quantity in lots, price, and TP/SL in price, points, ticks, % or R.
The ticket is a small popover anchored to where you opened it. It never closes on a rejection; it shakes once, shows Rejected · <reason> and offers Retry.
| Row | What it does |
|---|---|
| Side | Buy or Sell. |
| Type | Market, Limit or Stop. Market disables the price row. |
| Quantity | A stepper in lots with presets. The broker receives lots × lot size. |
| Price | Prefilled with the hovered price when opened from the "+" menu. |
| TP / SL | A value and a unit: price, pts, ticks, % or R. R needs an SL; a TP in R is derived from the SL distance. |
| Footer | Estimated notional, commission and R:R when both legs are set. |
- Focus starts where the next keystroke belongs: the price for limit and stop, the commit button for market.
- Enter places the order from any input. Escape closes.
- The commit button spells out the order:
Buy 2 @ market,Sell 1 @ 43,810. - While a limit or stop ticket is open, a dashed ghost line sits at its price so you can see where it lands.
Why lots
Indian index derivatives trade in exchange lots. Counting lots in the UI and sending units to the broker removes the most expensive typo: 75 lots when you meant 75 units. See Lots vs units.
