Getting started
The layout of the ox-charts terminal and a first five minutes on it.
The layout
| Area | What lives there |

| Top toolbar | Symbol search, interval, chart type, Order flow, Indicators, OxScript, Layers, Bar replay; on the right the grid layout, theme, colour theme, settings, docs, screenshot and fullscreen. |
| Left rail | The cursor and the drawing tools, then magnet, lock, hide and delete. |
| The pane | The OHLC line, the quote row (Sell · quantity · Buy), indicator legends and the chart itself. The price axis carries the "+" order menu. |
| Trading panel | Under the chart: position, open and realized P&L and equity; expand it for orders, positions, trades, stats, automation and the tester. |
| Status bar | Feed status (LIVE), the time zone and the clock. |
Your first five minutes
Pick a symbol and interval
Click the symbol name (top left) to search, then choose an interval from the menu beside it. The chart type menu next to it switches candles, bars, line, Heikin Ashi, Renko and the rest.
Add an indicator
Press Indicators or I, search for EMA and click it. Its legend row appears in the pane; the gear opens its settings. See Adding and removing indicators.
Draw a level
Press Alt+H and click the chart to drop a horizontal line, or pick any tool from the left rail. See The drawing tools.
Place a paper trade
Click Buy in the quote row. The order ticket opens; press its button to send a market order to the paper account. The position line appears at your average price with a chip showing live P&L.
Add a take profit and stop loss
Press TP or SL on the position chip and drag to the level. The drag refuses the wrong side and shows the risk and reward as you move. See Order lines, brackets and the position line.
Nothing here is real money
The terminal trades whatever adapter your app gives it. In the demo that is the paper broker: a full simulated account fed by the chart's own bars.
